Friday is here and so are a slew of OTT releases for us to binge on. With the weather being inclement in the city, many might avoid going out to theatres to watch movies and instead go the OTT way. And for those wondering, many new web series and movies, in varying languages, are releasing on the OTT platforms this Friday.
Here are the major movies and web series that are releasing this Friday, 19 November 2021 in India and should be on everyone’s watchlist:
Arguably, the most exciting OTT release of this week, Most Eligible Bachelor is coming to digital after a highly successful run in the theatres. Dubbed as Akhil Akkineni’s first clear hit, it has been largely praised by the audiences and is a must-watch rom-com for all.

Touted to be Amazon’s reply to HBO’s Game of Thrones, The Wheel of Time is based on a set of fantasy novels by Robert Jordan. The first three episodes of the series were released on Friday, while the remaining five episodes of the first season will come out on a weekly basis. A second season of this fantasy series has already been announced.

Starring Kartik Aaryan in a never-before-seen avatar, this action thriller is about a journalist whose career is resurrected after receiving a call from a terrorist. Based on the Korean film The Terror Live, this Bollywood movie was filmed in just ten days. Releasing this Friday, it has received praise from critics for the way it depicted the world of journalism and hence, is one of the movies to watch.

Before getting into the rumours of Andrew Garfield featuring in the upcoming Spider-man movie, you can watch this musical of his. Directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton fame, this musical tells the story of Jonathan Larson, a famed American composer and playwright from the 1990s. The talk about this movie has been excellent so far.

One of the two Telugu OTT releases this Friday, Oka Chinna Family Story is about a man and his mother and the hilarious adventure they undertake in order to repay a loan. With just five episodes, this miniseries should be on everyone’s binge-list for this weekend.

If you’ve got a Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription, then you can see Prabhu Deva in action in his latest Tamil flick Pon Manickavel. Also starring Nivetha Pethuraj, this cop thriller is the 50th movie of Prabhu Deva’s acting career. The movie’s release had been delayed multiple times due to the Covid-19 pandemic and finally, the makers decided to opt for a direct-to-digital release. This movie has received middling reviews so far.
