#1 Restaurants and cafes

One of the primary reasons to visit Siripuram is the varying kinds of restaurants and cafes housed here. Restaurants, like Sam’s Griddle, are one of the popular places for people to grab a classy dinner. Cafes like The Gallery, Pastry Coffee n’ Conversation, and Fresh Choice are usually filled with young people getting a quick bite.

#2 Microbreweries / Pubs

Siripuram also houses two of the most popular pubs in Vizag. Myz-Uno and Ironhill, both located in this area, are the only microbreweries in the city. Both these pubs are popular places for people to have a fun night with their friends.

#3 Dutt Island

One of the most unique buildings in Vizag, Dutt Island is also located in Siripuram. This building, besides Dronamraju Circle, is surrounded by roads on all sides, hence called an island. It houses everything one could ask for, from apartments to restaurants, shops, supermarkets, pharmacies and much more.

#4 HSBC building

Another iconic structure near Dronamraju Circle is the HSBC office. This building forms a huge part of modern-day Vizag and is a popular landmark for reference. Many people come to this place for the delicious pani-puri that is served nearby.

#5 Waltair Club

The oldest club in Vizag is also in Siripuram. Called the Waltair Club, after the city’s old name, this place is the most prestigious and exclusive of all clubs. Spread over a vast amount of area, this club requires a membership for entry. Some of the most important people in the city have been members of this historic club. From a gym to a library to a theatre, this club has all the facilities a person can ask for.

#6 All India Radio (AIR)

Located a few steps away from Siripuram Circle, this radio station is the oldest in Vizag. It’s for all those classic radio aficionados who love listening to their favourite Telugu songs along with the daily news. Right from 1963, when this radio station was commissioned, people have listened to it every morning.

#7 VMRDA Headquarters and Children’s Arena

The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) is responsible for the urban development of Vizag city. This government agency’s headquarters is located in Siripuram. It’s a major commercial complex, replete with internet cafes, restaurants and much more. VMRDA’s Children’s Arena, an auditorium with a seating capacity of 1,000, is also located in Siripuram and one of the popular venues for cultural and recreational events.
