In a joint press conference with Commissioner of Police T. Yoganand, Collector Pravin Kumar made it clear that holding protest meets on national days is against the guidelines of Supreme court, so no such moves will be allowed on beach road tomorrow.
Also it will a big security issue as the delegates from all over the world participating in Partnership Summit will be staying in the hotels on the beach road.
Reportedly Mr. Kumar said “We are sending an appeal to all the schools, colleges and universities and also appealing to the parents not to allow their children to take part in any such protest on that day. We are not against any protest, but it can be held on a later date after obtaining proper permission.”
Adequate bandobust has been made for the same and also section 30 of Police Act is in force. Any such gathering is not permitted and strict action will be taken against it.
