With the state government pumping in huge money, Rs. 500 crore to be exact, into the improvement of the AP tourism sector; there’s expected to be a considerable rise in tourist jobs in Visakhapatnam.
Wellness center tasks worth 12 crores, golf course & tourist parks worth 6 crores, vacation hotel in Araku worth 6 crores and many more projects are showing up in the city.
Managing director of Tourism Development Corporation Girija Sankar said though the state capital is in Amaravati, Vizag will be the capital of the tourism sector. “Madhurawada, Yendada, Parawada and Thotlakonda are suitable places for investments related to the tourism sector. Investors should come forward to put in money in hotels, resorts and parking places along the national highway from Icchapuram in Srikakulam district to Tada in Nellore district,”
In Anantapur area, a grade-2 motor-sport center is being established by Feedback Ventures, which is expected to provide employment to 200 individuals. A Mumbai-based Bombay Amusements Ltd. Signed a MoU with the Andhra Pradesh state government at the CII Partnership Summit, and promised to provide tourists jobs at the Skies Tower atop Kailashgiri, proclaimed to be India’s highest tower at 120 meters over the water level. The tower would require an overall investment of 85 crores and will be designed along the lines of Singapore’s Tiger Tower, having the ability to withstand wind speeds as high 300 kmph.
With a significant number of jobs showing up in wellness, motorsports, skies tower, spiritual tourist as well as sea cruise ships; there are numerous other tasks aligned to contribute to the growth and development of the Andhra Pradesh tourist industry.
