The National General Secretary of Telugu Desam Party and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh will soon be inaugurating the TDP’s new and modern office. Built at the cost of Rs 6 crore at Pandimetta area in Visakhapatnam, he will inaugurate the office on May 6 during his three-day visit to the district.
The building has reached completion, except for the putting up of a compound wall and other minor works which are being done at a brisk pace. Visakha South MLA and the party’s Urban President Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar is planning a huge welcome along with local ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs for Nara Lokesh as it is the National General Secretary’s maiden visit to the city after assuming charge as Panchayat Raj Minister.
The state-of-the-art four-storeyed building is centralised AC, has a huge hall with a capacity to hold 500 persons for party meetings, a special suite for the party’s National President and CM Chandrababu Naidu or other VVIPs visiting the office, a video conference hall, restrooms, and a spacious parking lot.
The responsibility for the building from its construction stage was shouldered by the party’s senior-most leader, former MP and present MLC Dr MVVS Murthy. The building design was previously approved by the CM and Lokesh before the construction had begun. Minister Lokesh will inaugurate the building on his final day here after participating in a series of programmes in the city and its rural areas. The opening of the building assumes significance due to the Mahanadu that will also be held here.
