Visakhapatnam experienced a power outage yesterday as most of you must’ve noticed. The outage had left Vizagites inconvenienced, no thanks to the rising temperatures in the city. A technical snag has been blamed for the loss in power supply that lasted on and off for the whole day.
Due to a technical snag at the AP TRANSCO sub-station, power supply was interrupted in some places of Visakhapatnam. At 10:50 AM, the supply was interrupted as a conductor line was cut off and a technical problem arose at the Sileru and Pendurthi line too. The AP TRANSCO authorities worked continuously for the speedy restoration of power supply.
Power shortage or any other glitch cannot be reportedly blamed for the outage yesterday. It was only be attributed to a technical failure in the supply. There was no power supply in many areas in the city with the power coming through with many interruptions. It was only in the evening that power supply was completely restored to some areas.
Due to the power interruption, the supply timings of agricultural pumpsets in the APEPDCL jurisdiction have been altered. For one week, there will be changes in the time of power supply. Consumers can always call the toll-free number 1912 if further problems arise.
