Welcome Hotel Grand Bay is hosting a Karwari food festival and we are going CRAZY. The food festival will serve authentic Karwari food {coastal Karnataka food} at their Signature Dakshin Restaurant and the food will be exclusively prepared by Chef Mahadev [ITC Gardenis, Bengaluru] and Chef Sreedhar Kare [St. Sous]. This festival starts 7th July {i.e today} and will continue till 16th July 2017.
The karwar food is known for its authentic recipes which are being passed on from generations to generations. Chef Mahadev will try to make these ‘pure’ Karwar recipes for all the foodies in town. The main ingredients of these recipes are rice, coconut and seafood which are accompanied with a variety of vegetables and fruits.
Few of highlighted dishes will be Bondi Vade, Dali Toy, Kurle Rasa etc and later the traditional dessert – Patoli, Shevya Payas, Kesar Bhaat etc will be served. This food festival is one of a kind in Vizag and will be available at lunch [12:30 – 2:45 pm] and dinner [7:30 – 11:30 pm] timings.
