Srilankan Airlines which is known to be the largest foreign airline operating in India Proudly initiates its operation to Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh from today onwards. Accordingly, the airlines will be offering four times a week service to Visakhapatnam connecting the state’s largest city and financial capital to the world through its global route network.
Visakhapatnam, known as the jewel of India’s east coast, is one of the three cities of India that Srilanka is adding to its network within a nine day period, including Hyderabad on 12th July and Coimbatore on 16th July. This will carry Srilankan’s total operations in India to 126 weekly flights to 14 cities, with its existing operations to Chennai, Trichy, Trivandrum, Mumbai, New Delhi, Gaya, Madurai, Varanasi, Kochi, Banglore and Kolkata.
Srilankan Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Mr.Siva Ramchandran said that travellers to and from Visakhapatnam will now enjoy Srilankan award winning hospitality onboard as well. This new destination’s addition to our network evinces Srilankan Airlines commitment in serving Asian region that offers the travellers seamless connectivity on the board of our brand new A320neo and A321neo aircraft.
This new assistance would also allow travellers from Visakhapatnam to enjoy the beautiful tourist attractions of Srilanka and also experience the reasons why an island like Srilanka is one of the most highly sought after tourism destinations in the world.
The addition of Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Coimbatore will increase Srilanka’s global route network to 105 cities in 47 countries. As a member of the reputable one world alliance, Srilanka also allows its passengers to connect to 1000 cities in 160 countries that are served by its one world partner airlines.
