The police in Two Town Police Station have arrested a man for cheating young people by promising them jobs in Indian Navy’s Eastern Naval Command. The man happens to be a 27 year old techie who flourished his duping trade through forgery, fake ids etc. He even resorted to dressing up as a naval officer in uniform and posing as a commander in ENC, Vizag. The youth were duped to the tune of 2 lakhs each for the promised jobs. The youths who have complained of cheating hail from districts in Visakhapatnam and Godavari.
The accused is one K Sandarsh, resident of Eluru and native of Isukathota Visakhapatnam. The jobs that he promised the youth were clerical jobs in Naval Dock Yard. He posed as a Commander in ENC who could get them the promised jobs.
In one case, the youth, A Vengala Rao, resident of Kailasapuram was approached by K Sandarsh for securing a job. The information given out to the youth showed a possibility of securing vacant posts of clerks, sailors, drivers in ENC. Sandarsh portrayed as carrying the influence and clout for securing the jobs on his words. Vengala Rao and his brother A. Ramesh reportedly gave him a sum of ₹ 2.11 lakh and ₹ 2.16 lakh respectively.
He even issued fake appointment letters for the posts to the youth. The brothers realized the cheating only after going to the Naval Dockyard themselves. The authenticity of the appointment letters were verified and the perpetrator came to light.
The complained was filed on September 16 and after investigation the accused was nabbed on Friday.
