Taking inspiration from Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, over 1200 budding Balavikas students, students of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar and the children from 20 Government schools which were adopted by Sri Sathya Sai Seva organization, Visakhapatnam district under “ Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi national project” and other private schools have chanted Vedam with utmost devotion and perfection for universal peace and harmony at Sri Sathya Sai Premasadan mandir in Visakhapatnam on Sunday (22 October).
The programme, which was organized as part of the 92nd Birthday celebrations of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, was inaugurated by Prof. Smt. K. Gayathri Devi, Rector & Principal, College of Arts and Commerce, Andhra University in the august presence of Sri SG Chalam, State President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva organization, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.
Speaking on this occasion, Smt. Gayatri Devi said that upholding the rich Indian cultural heritage is in the safe hands of the young children. She lauded the education wing (Balvikas) for imparting human values and Vedam to the budding children through Balvikas pattern of the education system which was launched by Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
In his address, Sri Chalam said that Sri Sathya Sai Baba gave utmost importance for preservation and propagation of Vedas through children at an early age. Balvikas is a strong foundation on which the responsible future citizens of India are gifted by this organization for spreading peace, love, non-violence, and dharma.
As a part of the Sahasra Veda Galarchana- ” Vedoddharana- Viswa shanthi”, children chanted Ganapathi Prardana, Bhadram karnebhi, Meda suktham, Durga suktham, Rudram (1st Anuvakam), Sivopasana manthramulu, Narayana Suktham, Manthra pushpam, Sahanavavathu and Swasti Vachaka slokam. D. Vishnuvardhan rao, state IT coordinator, Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation was also present at th event.
