Ross Hill Chapel is all decked up and ready to celebrate the Festival of Immaculate Conception of Mother Mary and it presents a beautiful scene if one wants to witness.
The arrangements for the festival of Immaculate Conception of Mother Mary is today at the Ross Hill Chapel in Visakhapatnam. A serene and peaceful Church, The Ross Hill Chapel is buzzing with festivities and plans for celebrating the festival are in full swing. Celebrations are to begin with a holy mass in the early morning at the cave on the hill and followed by other events later throughout the day. Later in the day, a procession will be carried out with the idol of Mother Mary holding Infant Jesus from St Aloysius High School near Old Post Office to the Chapel at Ross Hill, Visakhapatnam. An important event, this has drawn devotees from out of station such as Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Godavari.
The Festival of Immaculate Conception of Mother Mary will no doubt have many who will throng the holy site to take part in the holy mass and be among the devout to seek blessings. Today is the culmination of festivities which have been going on for 9 days. Each day full of festivities, the Ross Hill Chapel has been festooned with lights and is a pretty tableau to see at night as well. A visit there at this time will be a beautiful and blessed one. Many have volunteered to help out with arrangements and the procession that is to take place in Visakhapatnam today.
The festivities will bring inbound traffic and special RTC buses are plying for the same. Traffic will also be regulated and vehicles will not be allowed beyond the statue of Mother Mary. The people wishing to visit will have to hike uphill after that. Police and barricades are being deployed for maintaining order and discipline in the auspicious event.
