Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM), Visakhapatnam, has emerged to become one of Andhra Pradesh’s premier educational institutions. Many students from this college have gone on to excel in their careers.
While GITAM is renowned for its academic reasons, the on-campus student life too is quite fun filled. From the multiple in-house buildings to the nearby nature escapades, the students here have the opportunity to spend some quality time at innumerable places. Here are 6 of the famous and favourite hangout spots of the GITAM students.
#1 The Canteens
From Bheemas to Blue Bells, the campus premises boasts of many eateries where the students hang out with their friends. In case you didn’t know, the canteens are not just meant to gorge over food. They are even meant to house the completion of assignments and get a date done cheaply ( The “Subway guys” can ignore this part).
#2 The Lawns
Be it for the pre-exam preparation or the silliest photoshoots, the lush-green lawns in the college seem to be the right place for all.
#3 The Baba Bazaar line (or) the “Fashion Street”
Mobile recharges, photocopies, shopping, and food, whatever the need, the “Fashion Street” has the answer. Also, the students here find this place ideal to complete their pending records before rushing to the labs. Btw, the line is even the most loved place for all the GUSAC guys.
#4 The Ground
Be it for saving a section’s pride in a cricket tournament or just to pursue one’s sporting passions, the ground at GITAM proves to be a special place for many students.
#5 KRC
While the digital library provides the best escapade during the hot summers, the long queues at the lending section can even put the patience of Rahul Dravid to a stern test. Also, you would be in for an added advantage if you know those secret spots where the WiFi signals tend to be strong.
#6 Kondamma Pan Shop – KPS
Ask any “KPS boy” about his memories at this place, and he would be moved to tears. A cosy place nearby the beach, KPS is famous for accommodating some of the most enlightening and heartbreaking discussions in a GITAMite’s student life.
