Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu lost his cool in a public meeting on Monday when a farmer agitatedly expressed disappointment over the CM’s governance.
The incident took place at the venue of Jala Samrakshana held in Venkatapalem in Amaravati. After the meeting, an agitated farmer breached the security to reach the dais where the Chief Minister was discussing with the officials. The farmer expressed his disappointment claiming that the police haven’t taken action against those who allegedly attacked him over a parking issue. He said that it has been more than a year since he had complained to the police but the attackers haven’t been charged until now.
Naidu, after listening to the man’s complaint, instructed the local SP to look into the matter and assured the complainant that justice will be done to him. Despite this, the agitated farmer continued to protest, to which, a visibly irritated Naidu said, “You first listen. If you are smart, I’m smarter. Have some patience. Just because you shout, facts won’t change.”
Last year, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu gave rise to a controversy when he said, “You (citizens) are taking the pension I am giving, using roads we have built, taking rations that we give, benefiting from our schemes, then why should you not support us politically?”
