It was recently reported that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who was recently alerted by Naxal threat, might soon get a Rs 7 cr worth bulletproof bus for his district tours. In another latest report, it has been learned that the Telangana government has decided to make CM KCR’s office-cum-official residence at Gajwel bullet-proof.
Reportedly, the Roads and Buildings department will equip the residence with a complete bulletproof facility as per the instructions passed the state Home and Intelligence department. While all the windows will be fitted with bulletproof doors, special barricades will be erected at the CM’s camp office at Gajwel as part of security measures. The government will incur Rs 2 crore additionally for upgrading the residence with high-end security measures.
Coming to the bulletproof bus that will soon be used for TRS Chief’s district tours, tenders have been invited from manufacturers for designing and manufacturing the new vehicle.
The Telangana Chief Minister’s residence in Hyderabad, Pragati Bhavan, is also equipped with high-end security facilities including bulletproof windows.
The installation of bulletproof windows at his residence caught the ire of many people last year with opposition parties criticising Mr. KCR.
