The Women’s Wing of Vizagapatnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, constituted in January of 2018, is organizing a free training and marketing meet for all budding and existing food entrepreneurs of the city. Trainers and Speakers for this event are being called from Hyderabad and Chennai.
The event will be conducted at Vizagapatnam Chamber of Commerce office, conference room on Friday, 6th of April 2018. The event will include a training (11 AM-1 PM) followed by food court set up (1- 3 PM) where food and merchandise will be available for sale. Anyone interested in availing this opportunity can walk in and be a part of this meet.
During the training, Mrs. Rama Devi, Founder of ALEAP (Association of Lady entrepreneurs of India), Hyderabad will talk to the attendees about basics of starting a business, government aid, licenses, skill training, marketing, packaging as well as areas with good potential for those in the food business. This will be followed a talk by the administration of Parikshan, a Chennai based food safety organization that is also an NABL accredited food testing laboratory. The organization provides training, certification guidance, hygiene monitoring policies and aid to hotels, caterers and anyone in the business. The attendees will also be allowed to interact with these guests as well as local industry experts who will provide guidance on existing gaps and a high potential area in Vizag.
At 1 PM, the foodcourt in the Atrium, Dutt Island, will be opened to all interested. Food stalls in the court will include pickles, podis, bakery items, live hot snacks and meal options. People can walk in and purchase or explore the platters from a plethora of young and budding chefs of Vizag.
The President of the Women’s Wing, Mrs. Sonal Sarda along with the secretary Mrs. Sandhya Godey will preside over the meet.
