While we have some highly anticipated Telugu movies geared up to be released in the coming days, Tollywood has already witnessed several entertaining flicks this year which were loved by critics and audience alike.
Let us follow through the list of Telugu movies which released until now in 2018 and excelled in receiving people’s applause. Let us take a look back at 5 such films that kept us hooked this year thus far.
#1 Bhaagamathie
With Anushka Shetty as the lead, Bhaagamathie is a thriller-horror film which successfully glued the audiences to their seats in the theatres. The film is written and directed by G.Ashok and the music was composed by Thaman proved to be a key feature in the film. Unni Mukundan, Jayaram and Asha Sarath played other prominent roles in the film.
#2 Chalo
This Telugu romantic comedy movie succeeded in sharing a fair share of laughs to the movie-goers.Directed by a debutant, Venky Kudumula, the film featured Naga Shourya and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.
#3 Tholi Prema
A well portrayed romantic love story, more often than not, strikes a chord with the audience. With Varun Tej and Rashi Khanna playing the lead roles, the film was directed by a debutant, Venky Atluri. The music composed by SS Thaman proved yet another plus point for this new-age rom-com.
#4 Awe
Amidst all the mainstream commercial lot that deals with the grisly revenge sagas and melodramatic love stories, Awe comes as a rejuvenating fresh breath of air. The producers need to be appreciated for backing such an “out of the box” script by a debutant and for coming out trumps with an impeccable execution.
#5 Rangasthalam
The film has received rave reviews and is currently setting the box office ablaze. While the audiences are falling head over heels for Ram Charan’s Chitti Babu role in the film, the T-town too looks to be bowled over by this rip-roaring act by Ram Charan. The female protagonist role is played by Samantha in this film by director Sukumar.
All these movies stood as few of the best this year and we hope that the upcoming movies too, will be giving us plenty of reasons to rejoice.
