YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s personal remarks on JanaSena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan have been in the limelight for the past few days. The former commented on Pawan Kalyan’s multiple marriages and tagged him “nitya pellikoduku” (bridegroom forever) at a recent press conference in Samalkot.
Responding on the same, Pawan Kalyan too hit back by making some stern comments. “Pawan Kalyan might appear to be soft from outside, but will tear you apart if you get personal,” the JSP chief warned. “If these people, who have been named multiple scams, have the guts to criticise in such a manner, then how proud should a person like me, who is fighting for people’s causes, be?” Pawan asked.
However, addressing the widespread anger among his fans and the possible repercussions of it, Pawan Kalyan made an appeal to his fans and followers. The JSP chief shared a letter on Twitter, which read,
“My request to all,
I have come to know that Sri Jaganmohan Reddy’s recent personal remarks against me have caused pain and agony to many. I never interfere with someone’s personal life, let alone using them for political ambitions. I differ from other parties on the basis of public policies but do not have any personal differences with anyone.
In this light, I heartfully request everyone not to retaliate by pulling Sri Jaganmohan Reddy or any of his family members into this controversy.
I plead to end this controversy here without taking it further.”

On the other hand, several other political leaders too found fault with Jagan’s personal remarks against Pawan Kalyan. “What Jagan said is totally wrong and unacceptable. Marking remarks on personal grounds in forbidden even by the constitution and it is upto those involved in the matter to decide what needs to be done,” said senior politician Undavalli Arun Kumar.
