The much anticipated superhero movie is finally here. If Batman vs Superman was your cup of tea and you think The Avengers series is the best thing to ever happen to Marvel, then here’s your next best thing.
What it is about:
Captain America – Steve Rogers, Iron Man – Tony Stark and the rest of the superheroes find themselves on opposing sides when politics dictate accountability on the part of superheroes, especially in wake of the destruction caused in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Some of the heroes support the Secretary of State wanting the team to work for and be answerable to the United Nations, while others don’t.
Why you should watch it:
Team Captain America – Hawkeye, Sharon Carter, Falcon, Bucky Barnes, Ant-Man & Scarlet Witch.
Team Iron Man – War Machine, Black Widow, Black Panther, The Vision & Spider-Man.
On one side, superheroes championing the liberty and independence needed for them to do their job. On the other, a team looking to protect the world from super-powered individuals who are capable of causing great destruction. You’d care less and know which side to be on when it’s the heroes fighting evil (except for when Loki is involved). But when characters you’ve come to love and support fight against each other, that’s where the fun starts, or devastation. Depends on how you look at it. But go watch it regardless of you being Team Iron Man or Team Cap.
What’s Hot:
- ROBERT DOWNEY JR., CHRIS EVANS & TOM HOLLAND = ♥
- Spider-Man, Ant-Man and T’challa, aka Black Panther, enough said!
- The amazing cast.
- The sense of humour.
- The climatic airport battle.
What’s Not:
- No Thor & Hulk.
- Lack of strong narrative.
- Too much carnage, if such a thing is even possible.
