Also, officials of Meeseva branches present at different locations in the city are demanding a bribe for services. Minister Ayyanna Patrudu has been receiving complaints regarding the centres.
There are 1000 CSCs (80 in the city) and 300 MeeSeva centres. According to the reports, the people in the city are fuming over the centres management for charging extra. They are also complaining that the work is being delayed or disapproved if the customer is not willing to pay an extra fee.
For services related to revenue and education, the staff at various Meeseva centres are reported to be demanding more money. Recently, few of the Meeseva centres have been closed for illegal changing of the date of births by accepting extra money. Students especially are facing a lot of trouble as they are not receiving the required education certificates from Meeseva centres on time. Only if extra money is offered, the certificates are being delivered.
