Vizag beach always makes it to one of the top places in the list of places to visit in Vizag. Known for its beautiful shores, the beach is always on the schedules of every tourist who visit the city. Keeping this in mind, the Government is in plans of developing the beach so that it receives recognition internationally.
With Rs 200 crores worth funds released by the Central Government, the officials are mulling to make advance developments at the Vizag beach. The officials would be conducting works to ensure that the tourists stay at the beach for at least a week. The 40 km stretch from Fishing Harbour to Bheemili would be taking a new shape. Not just to sit in the sands and vile away time but the new add-ons like walking tracks and cycling tracks would help people to have more fun time.
Resorts, restaurants and picnic spots would be developed along the coastline of Vizag beach. Also, parks, restrooms, and adventure sports like boating and kayaking would be made available for the tourists along the stretch.
The Sea Harrier Aircraft and 3d Naval Aviation museums would be set up at a cost of Rs 20 crores at a tourism complex at the beach. The complex would be integrated with the ‘Victory at Sea’ memorial, Rajiv Smriti Bhavan and AU Convention Hall which are close by.
The subway and parking would be accommodating more than1000 cars and two-wheelers each would be constructed near the complex.
Already, the DPR for the projects was presented two days ago and the final DPR would be ready by December end. The works for the project would commence from January next year. With works under the full swing from then on, the officials are on an aim to complete the works by 2020.
