#1 India vs West Indies ODI
The cricket fever is set to light up the city on 24 October. India will be locking horns with West Indies in the 2nd ODI in Visakhapatnam. The cricket match was originally supposed to be played at the Holkar stadium in Indore. However, a dispute between the BCCI and the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Board over complementary tickets called for a change of venue.
#2 Pinkathon
Vizag is gearing up to go pink on 27 October as yet another edition of Pinkathon beckons the city. The event creates space for women across the city to come together as a community and extend support to the country’s largest running event dedicated to women and spreading awareness on breast cancer. Gearing at taking up health and fitness into one’s hands, the awareness run is one of its kind. The run will be spearheaded by fitness promoter and Pinkathon ambassador, Milind Soman.
#3 Visakha Utsav
One of the most awaited upcoming events, Visakhapatnam’s annual festival is all set to be back with a bang. Visakha Utsav, a celebration of the spirits of the city, is a yearly event conducted by the government of Andhra Pradesh in the month of December. Celebrated at the RK beach, this 3-day long festival not only entertains the crowds with many captivating events but also provides a perfect platform to showcase the proud culture, arts, crafts, music, and other distinctions of Visakhapatnam. This year, Visakha Utsav will be celebrated on 28, 29 and 30 December.
#4 Araku Balloon Festival
The Araku Balloon Festival, which lit up the skies last year is all set to return with a bang. Set in the picturesque valleys of Araku, the festival will be held from 18-20 January 2019. Deemed as the prime event in establishing Araku as a premier ballooning destination, Araku Balloon Festival boasts of numerous specialities to hold the visitors captive.
