As the political temperatures in Andhra Pradesh rise with each passing day as we build up to the Assembly elections, February might just witness the tipping point of larger significance. While it has already been confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the state this month, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his Uttar Pradesh counterpart, Yogi Adityanath are expected to visit Vizag soon.
While it was earlier informed that KCR is likely to participate in the annual day celebrations of Sri Sharadha Peetham in Visakhapatnam on 14 February, UP CM Yogi Adityanath to is expected to take part in the event, being organised under the helm of Swami Swaroopanandendra Saraswati.
While there hasn’t been any official confirmation on the BJP leader’s visit to Vizag, there were “positive indications” on his participation, as reported by The Hindu.
Confirmation is yet to be received on YSRCP supremo YS Jagan’s visit to the city on the same day. It was earlier reported that Jagan, after performing the house-warming ceremony of his new house at Tadepalli in Guntur district, will join KCR for the celebrations at Sri Sharadha Peetham.
It may also be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Visakhapatnam has been deferred. The original schedule slate PM Modi to address a public meeting in the city on 16 February. However, a few recent developments have meant that his trip to Vizag has been postponed to 27 February.
