Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have canceled their visits to Visakhapatnam. The leaders, who were originally slated to arrive in the city on Thursday, have changed plans owing to other engagements, it has been reported.
As per the original schedule, both KCR and Yogi Adityanath were supposed to attend the annual day celebrations of Sri Sharadha Peetham in Visakhapatnam on 14 February. However, duties back home have apparently caused them to cancel their much-talked-about visit to the city.
While KCR is reportedly busy in the expansion of his State Cabinet, his Uttar Pradesh counterpart is engaged in overseeing the Kumbh Mela being held at Prayagraj (Allahabad).
Earlier, it was also reported that KCR would attend the house warming ceremony of YS Jagan’s new house at Tadepalli in Guntur district before gracing the celebrations at the Peetham in Visakhapatnam. As the house warming ceremony has been called off, KCR reportedly canceled his trip to the state.
Reportedly, the Peetham was informed on 13 February that KCR’s trip to the city was canceled.
It may be recalled that the TRS leader had visited Visakhapatnam in December 2018, after swearing in as the Chief Minister of Telangana, to seek the blessings of one of his spiritual gurus, Swami Swaroopanandendra Saraswati of Sri Sharadha Peetham located at Pendurthi.
