In view of the rising demand from tourists, the East Coast Railways has decided to run a special train between Visakhapatnam – Araku – Visakhapatnam. This special train will be operational from 30 December, 2021, to 16 January, 2022.
The Waltair Division Railway authorities announced that train number 08525 Visakhapatnam – Araku Special Train will leave Visakhapatnam at 7:00 am daily and will reach Araku at 11:30 am.
In the return direction, train number 08526 Araku – Visakhapatnam Special Train will leave Araku at 2:00 pm daily and will reach Visakhapatnam at 5:30 pm, according to the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, ECoR, A K Tripathi.
This pair of trains will have eight Second Class coaches and two Second Class-cum-Luggage coaches (all reserved) in its composition.
They will have stoppages at Simhachalam, Kothavalasa, Srungavarapukota and Borraguhalu between Visakhapatnam and Araku stations.
The East Coast Railways, in view of the tremendous holiday rush, also announced that train number 18551/52 Vizag – Araku – Vizag passenger will continue to run with three Vistadome coaches, in both the directions, till 31 January, 2022. It could be noted that, earlier the augmentation of the third Vistadome coach was announced till 31 December, 2021.
Passengers are requested to strictly follow all the safety protocols before and during journey in the wake of COVID-19 Pandemic. All the passengers are advised to wear a mask, sanitize/wash hands frequently and maintain social distancing.
