Visakhapatnam is likely to expect heavy rainfall, accompanied by lightning, in the next three days. This weather disturbance may cause loss of crops to the farmers during the Sankranti Festival. The other districts of North Andhra Pradesh, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and East Godavari are also expected to have heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms. This sudden rainfall might affect the festival celebrations in the Visakhapatnam outskirts, as the people might miss the Bhogi bonfire and kite flying. Apart from this, it might cause trouble to people travelling to their native places in North and South Andhra Pradesh regions. Thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning, are expected in a few isolated places.
The strongest Western Disturbance in last 3 years will impact #AndhraPradesh from January 12th to 17th with rains and Hail Storms in some parts of #Rayalaseema and many Coastal parts mainly from Srikakulam to Guntur.
