While almost the entire world was closed during past lockdowns there have been couple of industry sectors that bloomed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from the essentials providers and OTT channels, home based food businesses also grew significantly. The citizens’ inability to go out of their homes gave rise to a number of home-based entrepreneurs. As people can’t resist the urge eat their favourite foods, this temptation gave birth to new opportunities to cloud kitchens in Vizag.
Here is a list of the cloud kitchens in Vizag for all the food lovers stuck at home:
#1 8-2-8 Chef:
Started in 2014 by K. Sumanth, this is one of the oldest cloud kitchens in Vizag, based in MVP Colony. When asked about the idea behind starting 8-2-8 Chef, Sumanth says it was the lack of food delivery services at night, during his college days, which motivated him. He added that the menu, during the budding stages of the kitchen, was limited to biryanis and starters, whereas today they serve seafood, various types of fried rice, and non-vegetarian starters. MVP Colony, being a hub for college students, and late night working professionals, has helped the business expand, reaching to various parts of the city. 8-2-8 Chef delivers food, from MVP Colony, to areas going up to Jagadamba, R&B Colony, Rushikonda, and Novotel Varun Beach.
