Offering a range of the finest curated gourmet tea blends from the world-over, Tea Trails is the first Indian chain of tea cafes that opens its latest outlet in our city.
The Setting
Warm lighting invites you into the tea room that is done up in shades of moss green and white. Light wood shelves hold random paraphernalia and colourful tea kettles that are lit up by bulbs hanging in jars. Framed photographs stand out under spotlights, educating customers about the various benefits of tea. Jade green and blue chairs accompany wooden tables, the 1170 sqft. of cosiness seats 38. A kitchen counter dominates the room, flanked by a display holding food. The exterior walls of the café are made with transparent glass, letting in golden light.
The Fare
Tea Trails’ menu offers 80 of the finest teas from around the world made with whole leaves. Speciality teas like the strong Smokey Chinese Lapasang Souchong that has a woody aroma, the mild Silver Needle white tea and the Moroccon Mint flavoured tea find their space amongst several classic, green, oolong and tisanes (caffeine-free, spicy teas). The desi chais aren’t left behind, offering a whole range from the flavourful Kashmiri chai to the earthy Kullad chai. Tea Trails also has a unique offering of tea –food pairing. It has on its menu food items that can be paired with a particular tea. The simplest form of pairing would thus be their Bun Maska with any of their signature Chais or a Burmese Tea Salad with a Green Tea like Kashmiri Kawah. Burghul Upma and assorted egg dishes are offered for breakfast while for snacking, there is Tea Rubbed Chicken Salad or Teazza Margherita. The scrumptious Chocolate Éclair and Dutch Truffle are a sweet tooth’s delight.
