“Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen”. Want to get an essence of this saying? September 17 is celebrated as the ‘National Puppy Mill Awareness Day’ and ‘Responsible Dog Owners Day’, started by Last Chance for Animals and animal activists in 2004. Animal welfare and shelter organisations host various events to mark the day. They play host, to plead and create awareness among people to prevent pups from abusive conditions and discourage buying pups from commercialized puppy mills, which operate in unhygienic conditions with no proper vet care. Instead, be a responsible dog owner by adopting pets from local shelters or abandoned strays instead of going bankrupt by splurging money on a costliest breed from a puppy mill. Apparently, if you want a particular breed, always prefer getting it from reputed breeders who houses healthy vaccinated pups. If you get a chance, volunteer such events to create awareness against plight of pets.
Are you eager to adopt a canine baby right now? Hop on to VSPCA (Visakha Society for Protection and Care Of Animals) and don’t be amazed to find bunches of beautiful baby pups out there. Their innocent please-take-me-home-right-now looks might bowl you over. VSPCA works to stop the illegal trade of all the animals and to protect them from severe abuse or neglect. On this account, all sort of funds, sponsors and donations are widely accepted for the well being and caring of animals. Go adopt a pet and walk out with a puppy smile!
