Staying at home brings a lot of memories. Memories of childhood, memories of school and holidays that were well spent. One such well-spent holiday item was watching a serial on TV. To take you back to those innocent times, here are the 5 old Telugu serials we all loved as kids.

#1 Amrutham

Hear the name and invariably you have a smile on your face. A fictional hotel in Hyderabad named Amrutha Vilas is the center of the plot and how the owners make money, is the story. No one takes money-making tips but if one does, they are bound to find themselves in hilarious circumstances. This is that kind of show.

Take a check on your memory. Do you remember Amrutha Rao, Amudala aka Anji, Sarvam and Amudala Shanti.

This Telugu show initially aired on Gemini TV from 2001 to 2007. The show, in an updated format, currently runs on the OTT platform ZEE5 Premium.

#2 Panchatantram

Sundays back then were without Facebook, Instagram and OTT’s but instead, filled with Panchatantram. This weekly ETV program used to telecast every Sunday at 10:30 AM. Since, the Panchatantra series arrived even before animations & graphics, only puppetry was used to tell the story. Disciplines such as rod puppetry, string puppetry and glove puppetry were employed to deliver tales of wisdom. It’s one of those old Telugu serials that we have all watched as kids.
