In a sad news, senior TDP politician and former MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy, aged 67, passed away in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Anam Vivekananda Reddy was admitted to KIMS where he had been undergoing treatment for several health issues. Reportedly, the politician was put on a ventilator over the past few days as his condition deteriorated further. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and other senior leaders had visited the hospital recently to inquire about the politician’s health condition.
The man breathed his last on Wednesday morning and his remains are expected to be sent to Nellore shortly. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
Born in Nellore, Mr. Reddy was elected to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly thrice as an MLA. After coming out of Congress post the state’s bifurcation, he joined Telugu Desam Party in 2016.
Anam was popular for his signature attire and the flamboyant statements he made. The man was also popular on social media for his speeches and satires.
