Apollo Tyres is all set to invest a whopping Rs 1800 crore on its new plant in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The plant, which will be the company’s seventh facility globally, will be aimed at meeting the growing demand for passenger vehicle tyres.
The company has said that it will first start manufacturing the tyres for passenger vehicles in order to cater to the growing demand in this sector before expanding and manufacturing tyres for other sectors.
The tyre manufacturing giant currently has four plants in India– two in Kerela and one each in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. It has a factory each in the Netherlands and Hungary as well.
