For the past few days, a video, featuring an unknown face has been going viral on social media platforms. In this video, a woman from Andhra Pradesh can be seen crooning the AR Rahman classic, ‘O Chelya’ from Prabhu Deva’s Premikudu.
Identified as ‘Baby’, from Vadisaleru Village, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, the woman’s reprisal of the song has been winning accolades from all over. And after many of us have been utterly impressed with the woman’s singing talent, the music maestro is the latest entrant into the list of her admirers.
Taking to his Facebook account, AR Rahman shared the video and wrote, “Unknown, anonymous, beautiful voice…”

The video has once again struck a chord with music lovers, with AR Rahman’s post already clocking close to one million views in about 12 hours. Coming out all praise for the woman, the social media users sharing the post widely and are urging music composers to recognise talents such as these and provide them chances to shine.
Apparently, popular music director, Koti, also came across the video and is planning to give ‘Baby’ a chance to showcase her talent on a bigger platform.
Previously, Rakesh Unni, a daily wager from Kerala, was also empowered by social media as the netizens helped music composer Shankar Mahadevan trace him.
