The Araku Balloon Festival, which lit up the skies last year is all set to return with a bang. Set in the picturesque valleys of Araku, the festival will be held from 18-20 January 2019.
Deemed as the prime event in establishing Araku as a premier ballooning destination, Araku Balloon Festival boasts of numerous specialties to hold the visitors captive.
Araku Balloon Festival last year was the first such event of its kind for Andhra Pradesh and saw 13 countries participating. Most of the participants had travelled to the region for the first time, and they share that they loved the landscape!
A unique extravaganza that was much cherished by many, the Araku Balloon Festival left a long-lasting impression on all as the balloons skimmed across the blue skies and created some awe-inspiring spectacles for the thousands of spectators below. The three-day festival that took place from 14th to 16th November saw morning flights and evening tethers and night glows. The night glows in the evening had drawn a huge crowd and much cheer, especially when the nitrogen-powered flames for all the balloons came on, all at once.
There were three specially shaped balloons that added colour to the festival. India participated with pilots Karimulla Syed and Udit Thapar.
The festival this year too promises to be a special one. You can book your passes here.
