Telugu blockbuster ‘Arjun Reddy’, which created a rage at the box office last year, is finally all geared up to don its Hindi avatar. According to Bombay Times, the Hindi rights of the film have been bagged by Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde of Cineone Studios.
It has been confirmed that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga will be directing the Hindi version of ‘Arjun Reddy’ as well. Also, while there were reports that Shahid Kapoor would play the lead in the movie, it has been revealed that Arjun Kapoor has been finalised to play the movie’s protagonist.
Arjun Reddy is a movie that tells the audience the story of a medico who faces anger management issues and resorts to drugs and alcohol after failing in his love life. The movie went on to score a roaring hit and has widely been hailed as a gamechanger in Tollywood. It not only struck a chord with the Telugu audience but also made a name for itself in other markets. Apart from the spellbinding performance by Vijay Devarakonda, who played the titular role, the film received critical acclaim for its brilliant script supported by Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s bold narration.
The movie is also being remade into Tamil. The Kollywood version, which is being directed by national-award winner Bala, will reportedly star ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram’s son Dhruv in the lead.
