Pawan Kalyan in Attarintiki Daredi
5 years after its release, popular Telugu film Attarintiki Daredi is all set to be remade in Tamil by Lyca Productions. Making an official announcement, the producers tweeted, “We are very happy to announce that we have acquired the Tamil Remake Rights of the Mega Telugu Blockbuster #AttarintikiDaredi! More exciting updates on this Coming Up! Big Thank You to #TrivikramGaru.”
The Tamil remake is set to be another feather in the production house’s prestigious lineup of films that include 2.0 and Indian 2 among others.
Attarintiki Daredi, which released in 2013, had struck gold at the box office across the world. The film narrates the story of a millionaire who stands against the odds to unite his family and ultimately, fulfill his grandfather’s long-time wish. Starring Pawan Kalyan and Samantha in the leads, the film was directed by Trivikram Srinivas and even bagged several awards across different categories.
While reports suggest that a big superstar might be roped in for the Tamil remake, it will be interesting to see who will get to play it as an official announcement is awaited on the same.
