Baahubali Wins at the 63 National Film Awards

Every year since 1954, the Directorate of Film Festivals has awarded feature films from all over India for their cinematic excellence. The films are awarded at a national, as well as regional levels. The National Film Awards ceremony is expected to be held on May, 2016.

It seems the end hasn’t come yet for Baahubali mania. Hysteria surfaced again with the announcement of the 63rd National awards. Yes! Baahubali emerged as a winner in the race and bagged the coveted honour of the Best National Film. No Telugu film so far has won, in spite of Tollywood topping the list of number of films produced each year. Made at an estimated cost of Rs 120 Cr, it is believed to have raked in revenues of nearly Rs 600 Cr. The epic movie set in the mythical ‘Mahismathi’ kingdom in India, was dubbed in many languages. Wow factor being, every audience across India and abroad loved the film big time. The movie features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannah and Anushka Shetty in lead roles. Ace filmmaker S.S.Rajamouli donned the director cap and M.M.Keeravani scored music. Baahubali-the beginning is followed by much awaited sequel which is on sets now and is slated to be released early next year. Wait for it! It’s got to be L-E-G-E-N-D-A-R-Y!
