#1 Hot pizza

Craving for pizza and spicy chicken but sans the customary wait? Then check out this kiosk which serves piping hot pizzas with melting cheese in just 5-10 minutes. Bite into the crispy golden crust, generously loaded juicy chicken, onions, tomatoes and capsicum, and a sinful amount of cheese and butter! Or check out the veggie option; pizzas loaded with corn and paneer topped with melting cheese. Open between 5PM to 10:30PM, indulge in a cheesy delight that’s easy on the pockets.

#2 Chicken Pani Puri

This comes as a street food like no other in Vizag! Combining the joys of pani puri and chicken kheema, we have the chicken panipuri! Deliciously flavoured chicken kheema curry is pocketed into the cute round puris and then topped with a sprinkling of freshly chopped onions and coriander. Rather than the customary spiced water, this is served with a steaming hot soup that tickles the tongue with hot and sour flavours! The stall is packed with students and families between 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM every day except on Mondays.

#3 Matka lassi

Indulge in a good old matka generously filled with chilled lassi! This lassi comes in two bases and with a healthy choice too; the conventional lassi is sweetened with either regular sugar or healthier jaggery. The best part of this lassi is the liberal toppings of a variety of dry fruits and chocolate syrup which of course you can customise to your liking.

#4 Meal Maker Chaat

For delectable chaat with a healthy twist this is the place you’ve got to visit in Vizag. Check out their spicy dry chaat or indulge in the wet soya chaat wherein soya chunks are added to traditional steaming hot curry. The curd, when added to the dish, gives it a phenomenal flavour! The stall boasts of more than 23 chaat items and is open from 5PM to 10PM. But try making it before 9 PM because they generally run out of their popular delicacies.

#5 Dahi Samosa

Giving a quirky twist to the good old samosa in Vizag is this variant! #6 Vasenapoli

Sudheer travelled and stayed with a tribal clan in interior Andhra Pradesh for 2 years learning the recipes and methods of cooking. Made with a variety of millets like finger millet, foxtail millet, proso millet, little millet, kodo millet, bajra, and barnyard millet, he dishes out healthy and tasty food. What’s more, there’s a new menu every day to look forth to. Millet idlis are served with delicious peanut chutney and sweet and spicy ginger chutney! They start making healthy food every day from 6:00 P.M.

#7 Fried Momos

Originally from Tibet, momos or the delectable steamed and stuffed dumplings have always been a favoured snack. Over the years, the traditional recipe has seen a lot of adaptations and reworkings. Just as this momo vendor who offers the option of customarily steamed momos or crispy fried momos. Highly popular amongst students and his regulars, this stall by the beach serves them steaming hot with two exclusive dipping sauces. Choose between meat or vegetable fillings, fried or steamed and indulge.

#8 Special Anapkaya Bajji and Bread Bajji

A trial at home turned into the most popular selling item in this food stall where they serve the bland vegetable, bottle gourd in a zesty and tasty avatar! Bottle gourd bajjis are slit in the middle to create an opening and filled with masaledaar peanuts, onions, karampudi, and mixture. And what makes their bread bajji different is the salad served alongside. The delicious karampudi is also their own recipe. These dishes are so popular they are often parcelled and taken even to Vizianagaram!

By far one of the healthiest street food specials on the list, kudumus are unfermented idlis without the addition of any carbohydrates like rice or parboiled rice. Soft, fluffy, and yet quite filling, these steamed urad dal delights are served piping hot with a sprinkling of podi, accompanied with a choice of three delicious spicy chutneys. This vendor specifically double steams the kudumus, to make the final dish softer and even fluffier.

#10 Egg Mixture

Enjoy the goodness of boiled eggs with the spiciness and tang of chaat with this special street food. Finely chopped boiled eggs mixed with murri, crunchy peanuts, freshly chopped onions, tomatoes and coriander make this a mixture you don’t want to miss. Do give it a try, as this is one of the more delicious options to eating eggs! Ask for his special curd-based chutney, which is a definite winner. They are open from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
