A video that has gone viral on social media platforms, has shown a biker from Bhopal standing up against a man driving his SUV on the wrong side. The incident, which took place on November 3rd, was captured on a CCTV and has been spreading like wildfire on Facebook.
A man who was driving his SUV on the wrong side of the road was stopped by a biker in the middle of the road. The biker refused to give way to the SUV even after being threatened to be run over. The video of the incident was posted by Nilay Verma on his Facebook handle and has garnered close to 10.8 million views as of now.
It can be seen that the biker clicked photographs of the SUV after which even the SUV driver got down his vehicle to click pictures of the biker. The proceedings, however, turned violent when the SUV driver started assaulting the driver with some lusty blows to which the latter tried to retaliate. It can also be seen that a few people who witnessed the event intervened in between and tried to bring the situation under control.e
The biker’s act of resistance and courage is receiving praise from many quarters. Nilay Verma, in his Facebook post, wrote, “World need more people like this rider.. Who dare enough to know the wrong and stand against it till end… Whom ‘will’ can’t be shattered as easily as the wrongdoers think… Highly appreciable initiative, my salute…”
Nilay even shared a photograph of the FIR that has been filed against the SUV driver.
Many people, however, expressed their disappointment over the passive participation of the onlookers in helping the biker’s cause.
