Visakhapatnam MP candidate, from BJP, Daggubati Purandeswari and Visakhapatnam North MLA candidate Vishnu Kumar Raju held a roadshow in the city on Tuesday. The roadshow by the BJP leaders, in Vizag, covered the areas of Gurudwara (APSCB Office), Balayya Sastri Layout, Akkayapalem Narasimha Nagar Rythu Bazaar, Port Stadium, Kailasapuram Quarters, NGO’s colony, Murali Nagar and Madhavdara among others.
Speaking during the roadshow, Purandeswari appealed to the public to vote for BJP in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha polls. The BJP leader also elaborated on Sukanya Scheme for young women, Mathruthva Vandana Yojna, Jan Dhan Yojna, Housing for all scheme (PMAY), Antyodaya Scheme, and other schemes of the Modi-led government. Vishnu Kumar Raju, who was elected as the MLA from Visakhapatnam North in 2014, claimed that he worked for the constituency’s development and there weren’t any corruption charges against him.
SVS Prakash Reddy, K Pavani, Dr. Suresh Somayajulu, M. Parasurama Raju, Dhaanesh, Shankar Rao, Raj Bahadoor Shivaji, ward presidents, and other leaders of the party participated in the campaign by the BJP top brass in Vizag.
Vishnu Kumar Raju will be taking the field against Ganta Srinivasa Rao of TDP, KK Raju of YSRCP, and Pasupuleti Usha Kiran of JSP among others for the Assembly seat of Visakhapatnam North. On the other hand, Daggubati Purandeswari will be contesting against Sri Bharat of TDP, VV Lakshmi Narayana of JSP, MVV Satyanarayana of YSRCP and others.
Andhra Pradesh is slated to go to polls on 11 April.
