Far from the city’s hustle-bustle, Borra caves of Araku valley remain to be one of the most enthralling travel stops for nature lovers around the country and the world. Nestling in Ananthagiri hills, Borra caves a.k.a Borra Guhalu, offer spectacular sights of stalactites and stalagmites which are nearly 150 million years old. The caves, which are said to have originated from River Gosthani which flows through them, were discovered by British geologist William King George in 1807.

A leisure walk around the caves will offer breath taking views of the flora and fauna and also a peak in to the enchanting tribal lives. One can reach Borra caves by road or through the only available train, Vizag-Kirandul passenger, which will guarantee you, one of the most thrilling train rides through tunnels and mountain ways.
