While a lot of money saving tricks are being used in this demonetisation season, there is a good news for people travelling in the city by buses. For all the air passengers travelling from Vizag airport and for those returning back to the city from the airport, the AP State Road Transport Corporation [APSRTC] has decided to start the bus facility starting from Maddilapalem junction and RTC complex. Soon there will be no need to spend hundreds of rupees on autorickshaws and taxis. There have been trial runs of these buses since a few days and soon the service will start on a regular basis from 14
th of December. The buses would be available from the airport at 8 a.m., 8.30 a.m., 11.30 a.m., 6.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. Some air conditioned buses and some normal metro express buses are being provided for the ease of travellers.RTC regional manager, G. Sudesh Kumar said that,”
“There would be some AC and some Metro Express services. The fare on AC buses is fixed at Rs.70 and on Metro Express services is fixed at Rs.40. The fares may be increased, if the patronage is less”. The airport director, Vinod Sharma expresses his opinion by saying,” “The RTC buses would be a hit with passengers, as a number of airlines operators coming out with early bird offers, and the average middle class travellers flying to various destinations”.With this money saving service, people travelling from Vizag airport can surely save some bucks in this money scarce market. Similar services will also be starting soon for people wanting to exercising on the beach road in early mornings.
