With the first and second phases of the Vizag smart city projects nearing completion, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, would be inaugurating another set of projects in the city.
The CM would inaugurate the All Abilities Park, floating solar power plant at Mudasarlova and solar street lighting projects. Chandrababu Naidu would be laying foundation stones for multi-level car parking, sewerage, 24×7 water supply and sports arena projects.
The smart projects would be worth Rs 390 Crores. Also, the smart street projects proposed in the city would develop 20 roads which would stretch over 19.5 kilometers. Spacing would be provided for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. With smart street lights, the streets would get adequate lighting.
GVMC commissioner M Hari Narayanan said, “Work on projects worth Rs 363 crore have begun and work worth Rs 120 crore have been completed. While the tendering processes are over for projects worth Rs 368 crore, projects worth about Rs 477 crore are in the tendering stage. Other convergence projects are in some or the other stage of execution.”
The differently abled children park established at the beach road in Vizag is all set for the inauguration. The park, constructed by Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), is a part of smart city projects. Established on a site area of 2,156 sq mt, the park would be special for the ones who are hearing impaired, blind or handicapped.
