Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will soon be visiting Vizag. After completing his US tour, the Chief Minister will go directly to Hyderabad, after which he’ll be reaching Vizag on 28 September.
Chandrababu Naidu will meet the officials here and then proceed to Araku in a chopper, it has been reported. The CM will be offering his condolences to the families of Kidari Sarveswara Rao and Siveri Soma, who were recently murdered by Maoists.
Andhra Pradesh IT and Panchayat Raj Minister, Nara Lokesh, will also be visiting Vizag. Scheduled to land in the city on 27 September, Lokesh too is expected to join the Chief Minister in condoling with the families of the two deceased leaders.
MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and former MLA Siveri Soma were brutally killed in a Maoist attack a few days ago in Araku of Vizag district.
It was reported that the vehicle of the leaders was stopped by the attackers, who forced them to get down. Weapons of the three security officers, comprising two 9mm pistols and 9mm carbine, were seized by the Maoists giving them no chance to open fire. Subsequently, the two leaders were taken a few meters away from the vehicle and were shot down point black with hands tied.
Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh had expressed grief at the shocking incident. “Shocked to learn about the brutal killing of Araku MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao Garu and Ex-MLA Siveri Soma Garu. We stand with their families in this hour of grief,” Lokesh had tweeted.
