Reports suggest that the second day of the CII Partnership Summit 2018 in Vizag, has attracted an investment of Rs.174,568 crore. There were about 285 MoUs signed on the second day of the summit and it has been estimated that as many as 2,86,371 individuals would be provided employment opportunities across various sectors.
As we get into the details, Minister for Industries Mr. Amaranatha Reddy said, “10 MoUs were signed in aerospace and defence sector attracting an investment of Rs 9,406 Cr and 25 MoUs were signed in textiles sector fetching an investment of Rs 5,337 Cr. Also, 34 MoUs were signed in energy sector with an investment of Rs 1,11,921 Cr, 169 MoUs were signed in food processing attracting an investment of Rs 3,534 Cr, 25 MoUs were signed in Health sector with an investment of Rs 5,090 Cr and 22 MoUs were signed in IT, Electronics and Industries sector fetching an investment of Rs 39,281 Cr.”
Reportedly, the first day of the CII Partnership Summit attracted investments around Rs 44,246 Cr where 79 MoUs were signed. Out of the 79 singed MoUs, 15 MoUs were in Automotive sector with an investment of Rs 15,224 Cr, 56 MoUs in tourism sector with an investment of Rs 7,807 Cr, 3 MoUs in infrastructure with an investment of Rs 12,500 Cr and 5 MoUs were signed in industrial sector fetching an investment of Rs 8,715 Cr.
With this, the total number of MoUs signed for the two days reached 364 fetching an investment of Rs 2,18,814 Cr with a potential of providing employment to an estimated 3,84,662 people.
