The third CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam had leaders and industrialists visit the city from across the globe. A major event that was aimed at attracting investments to Andhra Pradesh, the three-day summit witnessed numerous MoUs, worth whopping amounts, being signed. Various sectors such as textile, energy, IT, electronics, food processing, etc. were ushered with large-scale investments.
The state government’s plan of developing 6 marquee projects in Andhra Pradesh, garnered the attention of many investors who were determined to bet on the right horses. The projects of Madhurawada, INS Viraat, Havelock Bridge, Bhawani Island, Gandikota, and Kakinada Swadesh Darshan were deemed to transform the state into a tourist hub, the officials said.

Mr. Suresh Prabhu, Minister for Commerce and Industry, who was also present at the event, said Andhra Pradesh overcame stiff challenges to emerge as one of the fastest growing states in the country. The minister mentioned that the centre was working closely with the state government to transform it into a major automobile manufacturing hub.
In addition to the above mentioned, the three days also witnessed other prominent events. While Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu laid the foundation stone for the International Convention Centre to be built by LuLu, CM Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the city’s Command Control Centre to help improve real-time governance.
