Indian Railways, on Wednesday, released a list of 200 trains (100 pairs) that will be operated across the country from 1 June. The bookings for these special trains have commenced from 10 AM on 21 May 2020. Railways Minister, Piyush Goyal, announced that the trains will be run while ensuring strict precautionary measures amid the coronavirus pandemic. Among the trains announced, Visakhapatnam has been allotted two pairs. While trains 02805/06 of AP Express will be connecting Visakhapatnam and New Delhi, the trains 02727/28 of Godavari Express will be connecting Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad.

The Railways also stated that the temperature inside AC coaches shall be suitably regulated for this purpose. Zonal Railways have been instructed to ensure that there are separate entry and exit gates at Railway stations to the extent feasible so that there is no face to face movement of passengers. Zonal railways will be guided by standard social distancing guidelines on stations and trains and observe the safety, security, and hygiene protocols.
