As per the latest reports, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism authority has planned to set up a container cafeteria on the Vizag-Bheemili road. The cafeteria, which would be constructed on a 2-acre land, is likely to come up near Erra Matti Dibbalu.
The two crore project is deemed to have glass windows to give a view of the beach. It would also consist of a parking area and gardens.
The works on cafeteria have already commenced, and are expected to be completed by November this year.
“The concept is that of a container terminal but entirely with glass windows for a panoramic view of the sea and open gardens. The building, done in conformity with Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) norms, is a non-permanent structure with ground plus first floor. The restaurant would be 70 feet by 90 feet with parking and gardens around on the sprawling two-acre land. The land levelling work has already been completed,” executive engineer of APTDC S V Gangaraju, was quoted as saying.
Deemed to a stand-alone restaurant along the route, the container cafeteria is expected to attract tourists with its breathtaking views of the beach and landscape. The officials also hope the upcoming project would be an added attraction in the area which is famous for its nature escapades.
