Deepika Padukone, Rana Daggubati rock Social Media Summit Awards.

It was a starry awards ceremony in Amaravati with Deepika Padukone, Rana Daggubati and others felicitated at India’s First Social Media Summit.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone received the award for the ‘Most Popular Indian Actress on Social Media’. Tollywood actor of Bahubali fame Rana Daggubati received the award for the ‘Most Active South Indian Actor on Social Media’. The man behind the famous ‘Kolaveri Di’, Anirudh Ravichander recieved the award for ‘Musical Sensation on Social Media’. R J Balaji received the award for ‘Best Use of Social Media for a Good Cause’. The Social Media Summit Awards ceremony took place at Siddhartha Public School in Vijaywada on Sunday and it was a starry night indeed with the who’s who of media in Amaravati.

Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya gave away the award to Deepika Padukone who looked radiant and happy. She could not stop gushing on the love, respect and warm welcome she received. She thanked her fans and Amaravati for the love and was profuse in her admiration for those who stood with her on social media and otherwise to contribute to her success. “Nenu mimmalani premistunnanu” – her words elicited a huge round of energetic clapping from the audience. Rana Daggubati was not far behind in his thanks and appreciation at the awards ceremony. They were joined by Anirudh. R J Balaji gave a heart wrenching account about the times of the Chennai floods.

The festivities and entertainment program included thrilling performances by Indian Idol Revanth Kumar Sharma and Shraddha Sharma.
