Yummy News Flash Vizagites!! The Hotel GreenPark, Visakhapatnam is bringing a splendid treat for us, something not a single one of us should miss. It’s the “Desi Chinese Food Festival”.
The GreenPark Group is hosting a delightful “Desi Chinese Food Festival” starting from 10th November onwards until the 26th November in Vizag. The Food Festival which is first coming to tease our tastebuds in Visakhapatnam is then moving on to Chennai and finally Hyderabad!
This is the first fest of its kind by GreenPark that will take place in all three cities. As the name suggests we can expect typical ‘Indian Chinese food or Chinese food, tadka maarke’. It’s a cuisine that once tasted will never let one go back to regular Chinese food.
The Hotel has a funny take on the food fest and is driven by the line “Everything is ‘Made in China’, except great Chinese Food”. Adding humour to the otherwise touchy topic of India and China in the political sense, it definitely arouses a curiosity and desire to try this fusion of cuisines.
What to Expect?
The best part about this fest – The Food! The man behind this fest is none other than Chef Bhatnagar who comes with a rich experience of 40 years in the industry!
Known to have successfully headed multiple food festivals, Chef Bhatnagar is all set to deliver another hit to add to his list! A name we can trust to serve up a splendid spread each time.
The Menu
Vegetarians and non-vegetarians will definitely be spoiled for choice. Some of the popular Desi Chinese dishes include Chicken 65, Schezuan noodles, Gobi Manchurian etc which bear little resemblance to the authentic cuisine of China but are still delectable.
Expect to be treated to your favourite Chinese foods; from Cantonese and Talumein Soup to Spring Rolls, from Chopsueys to Pan-Fried delights, Hakka style noodles to Schezwan Rice accompanied with dishes cooked in a variety of sauces.
Every meal is incomplete without ending on a sweet note and one can expect Semolina Cheese Jelly with nuts & fruits, Coconut Chocolate Roll, fruit mille-feuille with pomegranate compote among others to indulge the sweet tooth at the end.
Chef speaks
“The fusion version of Chinese works best for Indian palette and this festival you will get to try the best of blends of Chinese & Indian ingredients.”
“Indian Chinese is an integral part of every Indian’s eating out, dine-in and take away experience. My job is to do justice to this Desi Chinese which we all grew up eating. I work very closely with my team by demonstrating recipes and helping plan every meal and menu. Every dish is inspected before it goes out to the guest.” says Chef Bhatnagar.
