He is as raw as a singer can be, as relatable as you would want a lyricist to be, he isn’t too bad of a producer either, but most of all, he defines authenticity when it comes to acting. After all, he won the National Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for a reason. He is all set to answer the million dollar question which he has been encountered with several times; “when will we see you directing a movie?”
The all-rounder Dhanush is venturing into direction.
He has announced that the title of his debut movie is ‘Power Paandi’. We have only the best to expect from a man of his calibre. Showbiz is the least unfamiliar environment for a man like Dhanush; his father Kasthuri Raja, elder brother Selvaraghavan and wife Aishwarya are noted filmmakers. The much awaited movie will be featuring veteran actor Raj Kiran. Interestingly enough, His father’s directorial debut, ‘En Raasavin Manasile’ (released in 1991), also starred Raj Kiran. It’s been a long gap of quarter of a century, and now his son is following his footsteps. Coincidence?!
Prasanna is supposedly playing the role of Raj Kiran’s son and Chaya Singh (Dhanush’s co-star in the 2003 blockbuster ‘Thiruda Thirudi’) is also a part of the main cast. The film which will be produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Studios has roped in Sean Roldan, who recently composed music for Joker, and Velraj, the director of VIP, as its cinematographer. The first look of the movie was shared by Dhanush on his Twitter account.
All the best Dhanush! May the odds be ever in your favour.
